You may recall my post of the 16th February 2011 in which I had inserted the plan of the Knot Garden that i had designed, and which was chosen to be created at Sparsholt College Hampshire UK.
On the 20th March I was assisted by the College's Extended Diploma in Horticulture Students to Plant the Garden.
It is located as you will see from the photos below adjacent to the glass houses, in the Horticultural Department. 5 Standard Ilex altaclarensis 'Golden Kings' were selected bythe college to be placed within each of the 5 circles of Buxus sempervirens. The college have also sown some Verbena rigida which are going to be planted within the confines of the garden. I think its going to look absolutely fantastic !
If you are able to visit the college for the Countryside Open day on May 19th you will have the opportunity to view it at first hand.
Me, the very proud designer.
