The 'Sleek Marine' garden designed by Kevin Barnett ( Kevin Barnett Garden Design & Garden Coaching) won Gold at this years New Forest and Hampshire County Show, held over the 30th, 31st July and 1st August 2013.
The garden was a contemporary styled plot of 6 x 6 metres, exhibiting how a small area can be used to maximum effect in a full sun environment including a coastal position.
The garden featured a Western Red Cedar slatted screen on two sides and a raised WR cedar deck positioned centrally. gravel paths provided access onto the deck from 2 sides
Planting was described as 'Delicate' exhibiting a subtle use of colour.
Incorporated within a Western Red Cedar slatted screen wall featuring a 'window' in the corner axis, were 4 living walls utilising the 'Bin Fen ' pod system supplied by Treebox Living Walls and Urban Greening Solutions.
The gardens plants were supplied by Hortus Loci of Hook, Hampshire
